A Minnesota Family Resort Tradition Since 1922 

We have 21 cabins and three motel-style lodge units to choose from.  The cabins range from two huge 10-bedroom lodges and three six bedroom cabins that are perfect for family reunions, to two, three, four and five bedroom cabins with all the amenities.  There's even a cozy single bedroom cabin for two.  All the cabins feature modern conveniences like air conditioning, satellite TV, kitchens with automatic dishwashers, electric coffeemakers and microwaves, and full baths with both tub and shower. The majority of our cabins have gas fireplaces and each cabin has its own deck and/or screened porch with patio tables and chairs or picnic tables and a charcoal grill.  Weekly cabin rentals include free use of a 14' aluminum boat or dock space for your own boat.  Our three spacious Lodge Rooms are located above our main lodge and offer motel-type lodging in a resort atmosphere. The single room units have two queen beds, a full bath with tub and shower, air conditioning, satellite TV, microwave, mini-fridge and a coffeemaker.  The large Norway Pine Suite has air conditioning, satellite TV, a full kitchen with dishwasher, a comfortable living room and dining area, and two bedrooms, each with a queen bed.  It also has a large private deck overlooking the lake.  The Lodge Rooms are available for single night rentals as well as by the week.

Our Main Lodge sits high above Big Turtle Lake and offers what many guests call "The Million Dollar View."  The lodge features a very large gift shop, a game room, internet hot spot, a small bar, and the Eagles' Nest Dining Room restaurant. During the summer months dinner is served five nights a week.  You'll love dining while viewing the lake from our 80-foot wrap-around screened porch.

We have plenty of activities to keep children busy while parents take time to relax.  Our beach is sandy and gradual with a diving raft, water trampoline, and the rock anchored out for the older kids and a slide in the shallower water for the younger kids.  The playground is right on the beach along with the fire pit for roasting marshmallows   (we provide the wood!)

Big Turtle Lake is just over 2,000 acres in size and provides tremendous multi-species fishing opportunities.  Well known for it's amazing Smallmouth population, Big Turtle Lake offers Bass Fishermen of all calibers a fun and challenging experience.  Nothing compares to the excitement of smallmouth bass fishing in June at Arcadia Lodge on Big Turtle Lake. When that smallmouth slams the lure and goes airborne – you’re heart races so hard it nearly comes out of your chest! If you are an avid smallmouth angler you know exactly what we’re talking about. But if you’re a newcomer, you’ll be hooked for life the first time you stay and fish here.  The majority of smallies caught here are in the 2- to 4-pound range. But every year several Arcadia guests hook and play a 5-lb smallmouth or two.
 And nothing compares to the views of Turtle Lake's shoreline, islands and bays as seen from a boat, canoe or pontoon.
